How To Live A Life Less Cancer — the back story.

How to live a life less cancer was an idea borne from a prompt of a challenge I was taking part in, way back in January 2020. Before I actually had a plan for the year. Before Covid took over the world. Before I got serious about research and “biohacking” my own health journey.

It was when I rediscovered my passion for writing. My passion for sharing all my knowledge. My passion for inspiring others. My passion for making change. My passion for experimenting on myself. My passion for creating great food. My passion for vegetables.

So…the challenge of the day (it was a business challenge, when I was only operating under Renee Wallace.Me and I had no idea what I really wanted to do except write books) was “time for a tip — lets educate your market today”.

The suggestion accompanying the tip was “everyone loves a secret tip. Share a tip with your audience today. You could post an image, IGTV Video or even go live with your tip”.

Hhmm, I thought. I know how to change my life and live with less cancer. I have had practice that this. I’ve been attempting this lifestyle for nearly 5 years. I have some experience with this sort of thing. And…it is not only cancer patients I can help. This tip will benefit everyone, whether you have cancer, another chronic illness, or not! This will help you.

So, this is the first tip I posted.

Nugget Point Lighthouse — getting into nature

The words accompanying the post were:

“HOW TO LIVE A LIFE LESS CANCER — Tip no. 1:

Get out into nature.

Doesn’t have to be for long or for far…just being in nature will ground your soul and relax your mind.

There are scientific studies about how being in nature affects your health in a positive way, both physical and mental health.

So…head to the beach, lake, forest, or bush…whatever is best for YOUR soul.”

People really resonated with the tip. I got some great comments. And the next week I posted another, with the heading “How to Live A Life Less Cancer…tip #2” and so it went for a few more weeks.

One day I sat and thought about all the things I’ve done over the last few years. All the lifestyle changes I’ve made. All the tweaks here and there to my diet and exercise. And all the comments about how I inspire others. I made a list of all the tips, tricks, hints, hacks, mindset shifts that I have implemented and got to work.

Then I had a meeting with my business coach, who helped me to explore the idea a little further and think about how I wanted to share this information. For those of you who have been with me from the beginning, this started with a series of ebooks once a week, blog posts, and all other things that were included such as recipes, worksheets, diary’s etc.

It all got a little too much, as I was neglecting a lot of other work I enjoyed too, such as writing a few more books to go along with So…you need chemotherapy! I am also passionate about providing you all with wholefood recipes to support your lifestyle changes, and so much more.

So…a new version of How To Live A Life Less Cancer has been born. This version is exciting. This version is powerful. This version will empower you to make small, weekly changes (if you wish to) to help you live your best life possible, while living a life less cancer…and other chronic illness.

This new version will be weekly blogs, there are 52 topics I am covering. They are everything from mindset shifts, acceptance, eating, exercise, immune health…everything I have implemented into my life so I can live a life less cancer…and now I want to help you!

And…as everyone is on their own health journey, and no two journeys are the same, you can jump in and out of this as often as you like. If you don’t feel like this week’s blog resonates with you, then skip it. No offence taken. If, when you read the blog and want to take action, I have your back. I’ll be there to support you. To pass on any other info you might need. To answer your questions.
